Alan Rickis - Air Force - 1966 - Went to Basic Training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

After basic training was assigned to Keesler Air Force Base in Boloxi Mississippi, where I received training as a Radar Operator (Air Traffic Controller). After Tech School was stationed at Blaine Air Force Base in Blaine Washington. While stationed there I volunteered to serve in Viet-nam, and after 2 + years at Blaine was sent to South East Asia. I was assigned to the 621st Tactical Control Group in Thailand where I worked as a Weapons Assignment Tech. Our primary responsibility was to execute air strikes, do search and rescue, provide flight following, air refueling, and B52 bombing run support.  I was in South East Asia for about 1 year, and when my tour was up, I came home, and In January of 1970 I received an Honorable Discharge.

Assigned to the 103rd Tactical Fighter Group, Connecticut Air National Guard, Bradley Field, Windsor Locks, CT - worked in Personnel and Procurement. Honerable Discharge 1973, Rank of Sargent.
